This is the Club's new on-line market place  where you can post your own "equipment for sale" or "equipment wanted to buy" ads. This site is focused on competition boats and equipment. (You may also wish to have look at Jim Dodd's "Buy/Sell" page, which has a large number of postings, mostly for play/recreational boats and equipment...see http://www.kayaker.ca/buy_sell_page.htm )

Just follow these steps:

Compose your message on your own desktop or laptop, using whatever format you wish (Word, PDF, JPG, etc). It's in your best interest that the message does not run into too much memory, as this would hamper downloading by potential buyers.

Give your file a brief but clear name, as it will identify what you are posting on the site; for example, if you have a kayak for sale, name your file "FS Caiman Magnum 90" ; or, if you want to buy a paddle, name your file WTB kayak racing paddle"; etc. You get the idea. Important:  add the date at the end of the file name, in this format: 15Jan06, which will enable us to clear out stale files (after 1 month).

Once you have your ad file created and saved, open  the Club market site by pressing "Enter the Market Place" below, and drag your file from the desktop into it. This will work only if you use Internet Explorer as your browser (reason: unlike Firefox or Netscape, IE has an ftp facility built into it).
