The Pumphouse Fall Race (also the Ontario Provincial Championships) is being held Sunday Sept 29th, 2013.
There will be a novice race held in parallel, and there is Open Course practice the day before, so we are hoping to see lots of newcomers, of all ages, out at the race. This is a casual, fun race, so don't be intimidated by the term "Provincial Championships"!
Saturday Sept 28th
Course Construction: 12-2 pm
Open Course Practice: after 2 pm
Sunday Sept 29th
Registration: 8:30-9:15 am (pre-registration available on-line)
Racer meeting/bibs: 9:30 am
Race start: 10:00 am
Second runs: 11:15 am
Awards: ~1:00 pm
Open Canoe Race 1:30pm
The cost is $20 (no extra cost for extra classes) and $10 for novices. The Novice Race will be interspersed with the Provincial Race, and will consist of fewer gates and an earlier finish. Note that this year we are allowing Open Practice on the race course for all paddlers, on the Saturday afternoon before the race. Some club boats will be available for use, including a C2 and K2.
After the Kayak/Canoe Slalom race, there will an Open Canoe race at 1:30 pm (organized by Cathy Olsen).
Parking is available at the bottom of the course behind the National Archives.
You may register ahead of time and pay on-site or pay via online interac, or register the morning of the race. If possible please register ahead of time using the form below
Hope to see you out there!
