The 2017 Canadian Canoe Kayak Whitewater Championships (Nationals) are being held in Ottawa this year, from July 31st to August 6th.
Slalom, Sprint, Slalom Cross, and a Novice Race will all take place at the Pumphouse. The Downriver Race will take place on the Ottawa river in town.
ORR will be proudly showcasing the new Clubhouse at this event.
We are looking for volunteers for all sorts of positions. Please fill in the simple Google Form if you are ready to volunteer. Your help will make this a showcase event for Canada's 150th and Ottawa 2017 celebrations!
Current plans are to allow camping at Nakkertok (XC ski club) South in Gatineau. Stay tuned for further details. The site has washrooms but campers need to bring their own water.

Pumphouse Parking Suggestions

Although the Pumphouse is conveniently located a very short distance from a major Ottawa transit hub called LeBreton Station and easily accessible on the National Capital Commission (NCC) bike path, we recognized that many will be looking to park a vehicle during Nationals near the venue.

Below is a Google Maps link that shows 4 options for parking. Anytime after 4:30pm on weekdays and all weekend long, #4 below should be where you park since it is free, close to the venue and has abundant parking. Business hours are trickier, option #2 is a free option where you can park for the day and a short walk to the venue.

#1 - Wellington Street east side just north of Scott - You can park for 2 hours but space is very limited.

#2 - Victoria Island. The National Capital Commission (NCC) has approved parking on Victoria Island just east of the Vertical Reality parking for free. Vertical Reality is a climbing gym on the Island and we have been asked to park east of their parking lot. Do not park in their parking or you risk being ticketed and/or towed.

#3 - Metered parking on Wellington around the War Museum.

#4 - After 4:30pm on weekdays and all weekend long, you can park behind the National Archives. This parking lot is quite large and a short walk to the venue.
